Practicing in Rhode Island since 1996, Rick specializes in the areas of business, corporate and non-profit law, bankruptcy and insolvency law, real estate, estate planning and administration, and business and civil litigation. His clients include individuals and businesses with net worth/valuations from a broad financial spectrum. Rick regularly serves as a court-appointed receiver, special master, examiner and mediator in connection with business insolvencies and shareholder disputes. Rick has lectured on topics including business entities, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, asset protection and estate planning.

Rick is a member of the Rhode Island and American Bar Associations, a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association Debtor and Creditor Committee and the Turnaround Management Association, Steering Committee. He is listed in the 19th and 20th editions of "Best Lawyers in America."

Prior to joining Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, LLP, Rick practiced for 16 years as a partner at Winograd, Shine Land & Finkle, P.C. in Providence, Rhode Island.
