Alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) provides an avenue for parties to resolve a contested matter outside of the courtroom. Compared to traditional litigation, an ADR proceeding is often less expensive and more expeditious, and can be structured to be confidential – protecting sensitive disputes from unwanted publicity.
